Janan Ganesh is a British journalist, author and political commentator. Ganesh is currently the principal political columnist for the ''Financial Times'' and regularly appears on the BBC show, Sunday Politics. For two years he was a Researcher at the Policy Exchange, a Westminister-based think tank, and for five years he was political correspondent for ''The Economist''. Ganesh previously co-authored ''Compassionate Conservatism'' with Jesse Norman in 2006, winning the T.E. Utley Memorial Prize for young journalists. In 2012 Ganesh wrote ''George Osborne: The Austerity Chancellor'', a biography of current British Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne.
